ABSOLUTELY! This course is perfect for beginners. We cover the basics from picking your first program, to basic equipment and apparel, to execution and form. You'll actually be way ahead of most beginners because our goal is to help you avoid the mistakes we made on our journeys.

  • I've been in the game for a while is this course for me?

Depends. If you feel that your progress has stalled and you aren't sure why, if you are dealing with pain or injury with certain movements, if you want to learn more about female specific fitness, then YES this course is for you. If you are an advanced athlete, this course is probably not for you.

  • I have special circumstances like a diastasis, hernia, previous injury, etc. Is this course for me?

YES! We are all about making movement accessible and enjoyable. If your doctor has cleared you for exercise then this class is for you. As Occupational Therapists we are specifically trained in problem solving movements around restrictions.

  • What are the workouts like?

This course does not provide you with a specific workout plan. We want you to choose the type of movement that brings you joy. We give guidelines on what a good program should entail and then guide you through choosing one. This course will teach you body mechanics and the foundation of movement that you can take with you not only to a workout program but into your everyday life. We like to keep is functional and applicable.

  • What is a "live workshop"?

For our community members, once a month, we will have a virtual live workshop. Groups of 8-10 women will meet on Zoom and we will actively work on a specific topic i.e. breathing, posture, exercise form. This will allow us to give live feedback on your particular situation and problem solve any remaining issues and questions.

  • How long do I have to complete the course?

The course is 7 modules and is self-paced. You will have coach support for 8 weeks within our membership community. You will have access to the course materials online for 1 year.

  • What if I need more help?

We have put countless hours into our course to make it as thorough and complete as possible and we will be available for assistance through the membership community. However, if you desire one on one coaching, we have this service available.

  • Can I sign up any time?

This course will run in cohorts. So registration will run September 13-17 and the course will be active September 20 - November 14. The next cohort will not begin until 2022.

  • Can I really learn about movement from an ONLINE course?

We think so! Many professions complete continuing education in an online format. This is similar, just for personal development. Let's hear from a beta tester: "I absolutely loved the presentation style. You guys catered to all senses. It was an auditory presentation, it was a visual presentation. There was plenty to read, plenty to listen, to play, to watch. It just integrated really well in that regard."

Social proof: testimonials

Very helpful!

Kathy

“I thought informed fitness was very helpful. I learned a lot of things about my body, women's bodies in general that maybe I hadn't known, ever thought about before. Particularly just things about how my body is a woman maybe required more of certain things, less of certain things. Just a greater awareness of how my body was different and how I needed to look at fitness in a different way for maybe what had been taught in the past.”

Better decisions

Jessica

I think that one transformation for me for this course would be it has helped me to make wiser decisions for myself and my body based on my own body and getting to know myself better.

I'm very invested

Ann

There are a lot of people out there that are teaching a lot of different things and I know there are many people doing biomechanical and kinesiology type of research. And when you bring that to me and you say, wait, we can do this better. We can help you be stronger and we can do it in a way that prevents you from becoming injured. Then I'm really invested.

I have a better understanding of what I need to be successful

Kathy

It helped me get a better understanding of what I need mentally and emotionally to be successful, because that's what I think I have lacked is long-term dedication and success, but I'm now seeing things that I didn't know and understand about women's bodies about my body and my interests that impact my decisions as far as my overall health and wellbeing.

Pelvic Floor

Jessica

I liked the pelvic floor information because it's something that gets completely overlooked and no one talks about it. I mean, you're always told to do your Kegels. And other than that, it's basically like, there you go. That's all anybody knows about their pelvic floor.

Quality instruction

Ann

I'm really confident in your strength and your knowledge as instructors. I felt like you brought enthusiasm, a cheerfulness but most especially a great knowledge base to the lessons that you gave.
